Removing Tint from Light Fixture

After painting the hall in our house to a grey, the light fixture did not match the room. I took it down to wash it to see if that would help. Then I had a idea that maybe I could remove the brown tint from the light because it looked like it was only on the outside and not the color of the glass (more like a stain on the glass)
 Supplies you need:
-Magic Eraser or Cotton Ball (Tried both and both work)
-Nail Polish Remover

First you remove the glass from the light fixture and place in sink.
Next you pour the Nail Polish Remover onto the Magic Eraser or Cotton Ball. Then you rub in a circle motion onto the glass.
You can already see the change. At this point I was jumping up and down, its ok if you do too.

Keep rubbing until you have finished the whole light. That Magic Eraser is really dirty now...
Then wash your glass and let it dry. Or if you are like me and are to excited to wait, you can dry it with a towel.
Now you just have to put you new light back into place.
 Much better with the grey.
Project took about 10 minutes for one light and should not cost anything if you already have items.
