Our stair going to the outside and downstairs, were really old and had a smell to them. We put the kids down for a nap and got to work.
You can see how dirty the stair were under the carpet.
Who ever put the carpet in did not want it to come up. There was so many nails and staples.
We cut the carpet to start it then pulled. We did the same thing with the pad. Then the fun part removing all the nails and staples. I got the fun job of removing the tack strip with hammer and screw driver.
He is so nice to clean up for me!
The project took us about 2 hours to finish. Looks better and smells better!
Next we have to refinish the wood.
