Baby Burp Cloth Tutorial

My friend is having her first baby next month and I wanted to give her something that I love with my babies. I received some baby burp cloths just like these and they are amazing. They are so much better at holding everything and you can make them really easy. Now every time one of my friends is having a new baby, I have to make them some of my favorite burp cloths. Plus, they are really easy to make.
I wanted to try a new method this time around (normally I do this method, here).  I use this method when I am appliqueing.

ITEMS NEEDED:
-Pack of cloth diapers (packs come in #5 or #10)
- Fusible Interfacing (I use the feather weight #911FF, comes in 20")
- Fabric (Fat Quarters will work great for this project)

First you are going to measure your cloth diapers and see what size you want your fabric to be. Then cut the fabric and interfacing to that length. (My sizes were 4 1/2" x 19 1/2" but I added a 1/4" seam, cutting them at 5" x 20".)
Now take your interfacing and place the bumpy side on the right side of your fabric (the bumpy side is the iron on side). Pin fabric and interfacing together.
And sew 1/4" seam all the way around your piece (I cut my interfacing to the exact size I needed, not my fabric, will trim later)
Then trim the corners and any extra fabric.
Cut an "X", through the interfacing only, in the middle of the piece.
Pull right side of fabric out.
Using something pointy (I use the tip of my scissors) push the corners out to give them more of a point. Left side of picture is fixed and right side is before using scissors.
Place your cloth diaper on your ironing board and iron all the bumps, make it smoother. Your fabric should look something like this.
Place your fabric were you want it and iron it into place (no pins needed).
All ironed...
Sew piece of fabric to cloth , using whatever stitch you would like to use. (I liked the zigzag stitch this time.)
Here is a close up of some of the stitches I used.
Now your burp cloths are all done and ready for a little baby...
