List of Things to DO: Outside

We are finding that as the days go by we change or add to our list of things to do outside. We hope to do a lot of our list this year but some are more $$$, so they will have to wait until next summer. There is the list of things that we are planning on finishing/updating:

1- Finish Windows by caulking

Remember, we started this project over a month ago and I am almost finished caulking all the windows, only 4 more to go!!! But we still need to finish the inside...

2 - Build a Sandbox

We have gone back and forth on sandbox/playhouse or just sandbox. We finally decided to do just a 4x4 sandbox. Our thinking behind this is that we would put a lot of money (into a playhouse and it would not increase the value of our home but a storage shed will). So money better spent will be on a storage shed. And we do not have the biggest backyard and a playhouse would make it feel smaller (no one wants that). SO sandbox it is...

3- Fix the Sprinkler

The sprinkler on the side of our yard are placed very funny and where you turn them on is leaking (it is really old). So we need to fix all that.

4- Paint Outside Doors

This is what our back door looks like right now (more to come on this one). We need to paint and re-caulk all the doors they are just sad looking... 

5 - Fix Mailbox

 It moves and needs to be re-screwed but the wood also needs to be treated because our sprinkler gets that thing wet.

6 - Repaint Lamp Post

The old paint is chipping and rusting what more do I need to say about that.

7 - Add Patio
This is a project that will maybe happen next year. But we plan on adding a patio in our backyard and we are really excited about it.

8 - Grow some Grass

We are thinking our grass just needs to be redone but still trying to decide on the best way to do that.

9 - Power Wash Brick

The house and garage need to be washed. (This is on the garage where the previous owners had their dog house, just really dirty)

10 - Take Down that Pine Tree

We have a big pine tree in our front yard that looks sad. We want to remove it and plant a different tree. (It makes it hard for our neighbors to pull their car out of their driveway, plus grass does not grow very well around it)

11 - Build Storage Shed

We want to build a shed next to our garage to put our lawn mover plus outside tools. (Make our garage less cluttered)

12 - Update Flower Beds
This will happen next year, but add new flowers and rearrange old ones.

13 - Add New Back Porch Light
We want one with two lights and that turns on by movement. 

14 - New Roof
We will be doing this next year because it is about that time.

This is our list for right now but it could change. The thing we are most excited for is our patio and grass...
