Cleaning Outside Windows

After I finished caulking our windows, they needed to be cleaned. I wanted something easy because I remember how much I loved cleaning windows growing up, it took hours and hours for only 7 windows. SO I found a streak-free window cleaning at One Good Thing. Lets give it a try.

I wish this picture was better so you could see all the dirt on the window. But you can still see it is a little dirty.

(The original mix was for 2 gallons but I only wanted 1 gallon)
Supplies:
2 Tablespoons “Jet Dry” (Next time I would try 2 1/2 to 3 Tablespoons, give more streak-free finish)
2 Tablespoons Alcohol (I used rubbing alcohol….70%)
1/8 Cup Ammonia
1/8 Cup powdered dish-washer soap
1 Gallon of Hot Water (16 Cups)

-Mix all the supplies together

ALSO needed:
-Hose w/spray nozzle
-Brush/Sponge

First, spray the window with water. Then I used a car foam sponge (only $1) and washed the windows with solution. Then rinse the windows with water. And you have CLEAN, CLEAN Windows with little work. I had a little bit of streaking but I think I just needed more Jet-Dry.
Tip: We took off all our screens before washing the windows.
