Re-staining and Waterproofing Outside Wood

The shutters and the hose stand were looking really sad. Needed to be re-stained and waterproofed. After taking the shutters down and washing the wood.

I started to sand them down. Already looks better...
Left: not sanded    Right: half sanded
I decided to only stain the shutters because I liked the color of the hose stand.
(Stain used was Minwax- Golden Pecan)
After letting the stain sit for at least 8 hours, I applied a waterproofer.
(Used:Thompson's WaterSeal Multi-Surface Waterproofer)

After:
If you can not remember the house before with the old shutters (and old windows).
One day we would like to add shutters to the other window...

Hose stand after: added a hose and new hose holder
Next wood to waterproof is the mailbox.
