After replacing our old windows with new windows, we needed to break our old windows down. We had done most of the windows but were left with the big front window. And here is how we did it. First remove the glass from the frame (either by removing the weather stripping or screws)
Make sure you are doing this with a tarp and safety glasses. Then hammer the glass until....
it breaks.
Then we place the broken glass in the garbage. And stripped the metal to be taken to recycling.
This was the only glass that broken this way. But it looked really cool so we had to take a picture.
Make sure you clean the area after but the tarp will help with this.
