After staining the stairs, here , its time to Paint!!!
Materials Needed:
- Paint (I decided to try Olympic One in True White
- Kilz Primer
- 1" Paint Brush (I also tried with 2 1/2" and worked good too)
- 3" Roller w/tray (optional)
-Tape
First you need to tape off all areas of the stained stair, you can also cover the stair with paper if you would like. All taped are ready for paint...
Take your primer and paint. Making sure you paint were stain may have gotten (walls included).
After primer dries, you can apply your first coat of paint. Apply paint lightly. First take your brush and cut in with the paint. Next you can roll or finish by brushing.
Stairs after first coat.
I applied 3 coats of white paint to my stair and this is the finished product.
I now need to finish the hand rail, fix the dry wall from previous owners, and then paint the trim/wall/ceiling.
As you can see I started painting the trim.
